Anyone know why D'Arcy Short batted so low?

Looks like he may have originally been slated to go in at 7 but then they put in Kelly as night-watchman. Even so, not sure why he wouldn't be higher than 7?

He is lucky to be playing red ball cricket, he is a white ball hack.
7/135 now, will make 250. Phillipe was impressive during Big Bash, might be kid for the future.
