Will Ryan Schoenmakers comeback to TTG now that he's retired at Hawthorn?
He was interviewed this morning on SEN. From what I took out of the interview - he will definitely be playing at local level next year, but where exactly will depend on work.
Schoey mentioned during the interview that he is a couple of weeks away from graduating with a commerce degree, and is looking at starting a business (with a family member I believe?) as a financial planner. No idea if that will be based in Melbourne or Adelaide though.

HOGG Shield 2015 Division I Premiers.
HOGG Shield 2017 Premier League Premiers.
A really useless stat came into my head as I read this.
Macca could possibly be the only coach to win flags in four different divisions at the same club.
Trying to think of other possibilities.... someone who coached Woody South on their way up the grades in the 2000's (who was that, Morgan Armstrong maybe?)
My new Mantra - I am no longer available to things and people that make me feel like shit

Not the most useless stat.. pretty impressive.

Damien "Macca" McBride coaches 3 junior sides at Salisbury North I think, also plays seniors, the bloke bleeds green and gold.

Damien's resume also includes being named SNFC B grade coach for 2020 and was the Assistant Coach of the Undefeated Central District Under 14 side in 2019. One of the very best from out North.
The PNU Falcs 2005,06,13 x 2,14 and Div 1 Premiers in 2019......The SA 3peat - 2003,04,05
I'm well aware of the difference between McIntosh and McBride, and PNU vs SN, I was just pointing out someone else's huge club involvement and it was just a tad ironic that they were both "Maccas".

I see what you did there.
I was more talking about seniors records though. That being said, there probably wouldn't be many junior coaches that have even won 4 flags in 4 diff divisions either.

As for the cynicism, I understand it, but this is a genuine transition. Jace Bode is the Head Coach of the Football Club. Obviously having Garry around is a huge benefit, but from last night the buck stops with Jace.
Has Macca stepped down as head coach, and Jace Bode is the new coach
OR
Is Jace Bode the new assistant with view to Macca standing down at seasons end 2020?
Jace Bode is the new Coach, Macca to coach the Reserves and Under 16s.
Good way to keep under the salary cap. Pay Bode as the senior coach
Bode was interviewed as a player coach option for a club in the Barossa league. He priced himself out of that, even for barossa clubs standards He's either come down dramatically (half is still huge money) or the club must have a massive stash of cash. Be interesting to see if he can coach.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Did Macca coach the 15's in 2019?
Yes (and has coached that same age group for three years in a row)
Adrian Roberts would've gone pretty close as far as junior coaches go- he coached his group right through and won a few flags from memory.
He can also lay claim to coaching a fair few draftees too. (Gav Roberts, Jesse O'Brien, Horlin-Smith, I think, just to name a few),
Gav Roberts, Jesse O'Brien, George Horlin-Smith, Tom Jonas, Lewis Johnston and Matthew Panos were all in the same age group at PNU (however I suspect they never managed to play together all at the same time).
Suspect it will be long time before 6 blokes from one junior team all make the AFL again.
