It's sort of a way of giving a priority pick without having to really.Jim05 wrote:Looks like Crouch and Daniher getting band 1 compo
Good luck though to Adelaide, pushed the Saints and got it.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

I hope we do. We need the midfield depth and someone like him would fit in nicely. Soft tissue injuries are a concern but given Collingwood will continue to pay for him, it's a risk I'd take!valleys07 wrote:Would he consider a move back to GWS or perhaps Sydney?

If he's on the reported $900k at the back end Collingwood might pay $250-300k tops, you want to bring in a bloke who has several question marks for $600k per year?gadj1976 wrote:I hope we do. If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.
If you want to go far, go together.

Is that really that much these days...…...especially given the reward is you possibly could have an A Grader. Genuine questions what type of players are on around that money....who is a $600k player at Port for example.Booney wrote:If he's on the reported $900k at the back end Collingwood might pay $250-300k tops, you want to bring in a bloke who has several question marks for $600k per year?gadj1976 wrote:I hope we do. He is a very good player and also with the minimum cap spend several teams are well under and literally have to burn their money.Booney wrote:If he's on the reported $900k at the back end Collingwood might pay $250-300k tops, you want to bring in a bloke who has several question marks for $600k per year?gadj1976 wrote:I hope we do. Not many would consider Treloar an A grader though, his disposal by foot is very questionable.whufc wrote:

Dixon would have been on $600k last deal to get him here, Boak would be close, in the future Rozee, Butters, Byrne-Jones will probably be.

We've got $750k plus the money Ebert, Westhoff and Watts were on.Jim05 wrote:He is a very good player and also with the minimum cap spend several teams are well under and literally have to burn their money.Booney wrote:If he's on the reported $900k at the back end Collingwood might pay $250-300k tops, you want to bring in a bloke who has several question marks for $600k per year?gadj1976 wrote:I hope we do. We’ve freed up money from Simpson and Kruezer retiring and hopefully Murphy at the end of next year so money isn’t an issue.Booney wrote:If he's on the reported $900k at the back end Collingwood might pay $250-300k tops, you want to bring in a bloke who has several question marks for $600k per year?gadj1976 wrote:I hope we do. Worth the risk I reckon if Collingwood pay circa 30% of his wage next year.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Yep, we have well over $2m now so can throw silly money at a few targets and see what eventuates. We can bank a bit but need to find a way to get to the cap floorBooney wrote:We've got $750k plus the money Ebert, Westhoff and Watts were on.Jim05 wrote:He is a very good player and also with the minimum cap spend several teams are well under and literally have to burn their money.Booney wrote:If he's on the reported $900k at the back end Collingwood might pay $250-300k tops, you want to bring in a bloke who has several question marks for $600k per year?gadj1976 wrote: I hope we do. I’d be interested in Treloar if he was a couple of years younger, hence our interest in Dunkley

True, Jonas and Lycett probably not far off it either.amber_fluid wrote:Rockliff is on that too.Booney wrote:Not many would consider Treloar an A grader though, his disposal by foot is very questionable.whufc wrote:

Every single club would take Treloar over Rockcliff and that’s no slight on Rockcliff.Booney wrote:The market isn't saying that. The Bedge wrote:Treloar > Rockliff

Rockliff is 30, of course clubs would take a 26 year old over a 30 year old, but....Collingwood look like they can't give him away.Jim05 wrote:Every single club would take Treloar over Rockcliff and that’s no slight on Rockcliff.Booney wrote:The market isn't saying that. The Bedge wrote:Treloar > Rockliff

Hard to give him away when trade season hasn’t started and they aren’t going to give him away for nothing still.Booney wrote:Rockliff is 30, of course clubs would take a 26 year old over a 30 year old, but....Collingwood look like they can't give him away.Jim05 wrote:Every single club would take Treloar over Rockcliff and that’s no slight on Rockcliff.Booney wrote:The market isn't saying that. The Bedge wrote:Treloar > Rockliff

They will still want a top 10 pick minimum for him.

Re: 2020 Retirements and delistings / trade talk
Id take Treloar in a hearbeat.
If Collingwood are so keen to get his salary out of their cap then they will have to take a discount in any trade negotiations also.

Re: 2020 Retirements and delistings / trade talk
Treloar is a genuine A grader full stop.
Came back from hamstrings in both legs, at the same time shows he's also resilient.
Elite ball getter, may burn it by foot at times, but every team would want him on their list.
Including Richmond.
