Unless you are going to keep all workers on site similar to FIFO you are always going to be at risk of a outbreak getting into the general public

Lots of servos got caught out it seems

Yep if we were serious about this pay those workers more money to protect us than paying 17 year old $1300 a fortnight when they were earning $100.tipper wrote:Fly in fly out workers do it all the time.RB wrote:The Commissioner made the point that if people who worked at the quarantine hotels weren't able to go about in the community when not at work, including potentially working second jobs, then it'd be very hard to find anyone willing to do the work.

One of the cops I know was one of the ones that escort the travellers to the hotel. They have about 2hrs contact with the infected people and then go back on duty as per normal for the remainder of the day. There have also been numerous positive tests around the country from nurses and medical staff. The big difference here is that the person has the biggest family on the planet and infected them all

I thought early on in the picture it was mentioned that the initial 14 cases were all linked to her family and that she had taken the virus home
Earlier in the week they suggested that the cleaner infected the two security guards (along with 14 members of her family), but they've gone off that story a bit lately as I don't think they know for sure who infected who. It may well be that they chose this storyline to begin with so it didn't look like security guards were the issue like they were in Victoria.
One of the two security guards also worked at Woodville Pizza Bar, where they infected another worker. That worker then infected the kitchen hand at the Stamford Plaza.

My partner who is Irish Catholic says the exact same thing about her Irish town Crumlin. She said back then you never dated anyone from the town because it was a 99.9% chance that they were family haha
