Re: 2021 Adel Footy League - Division 1
Not much love for St Peters? They knocked off Goodwood, pushed Brighton @ Brighton, defeated the Gullies @ Peteringa who have beaten PNU and Rostrevor on the road.
Using the ladder predictor paired with my poor tipping skills I have the table looking like the following at the half way point:
PAOC 16
GS 16
SPOC 14
BB 12
ROC 8
PNU 8
TTG 8
PD 4
Uni 4
UMJ 0
I won't be surprised if Unley cause an upset before then though.

My understanding is O'Brien was another casualty of the SPOC PNU game and won't be seen again for the year.
Will make it hard for SPOC.
Will make it hard for SPOC.

PNU will need to get some players back this week or they could get beaten by Uni. If that happens they'll turn 3 and 6, which makes finals a difficult proposition.Lightning McQueen wrote:Not much love for St Peters? O'Brien, Coulson & Read were 3 that played against PNU in Round 5 but didn't suit up against Brighton on Saturday. It was reported on here that SPOC were also banged up after the PNU game and assume those 3 were part of that. I didn't hear anything on Saturday as to what or how severe the injuries were to those guys. SPOC shouldn't lose any friends from Saturday's performance. It was an arm wrestle all day with Brighton just finishing the stronger.

Very fair proposition. Close to an elimination final in May.Senor Moto Gadili wrote:PNY will need to get some players back this week or they could get beaten by Uni. SPOC's hand was forced on Saturday with those guys missing and played a lot of kids. Certainly weren't disgraced on the weekend.Down the Hill wrote:O'Brien, Coulson & Read were 3 that played against PNU in Round 5 but didn't suit up against Brighton on Saturday. O'Brien will return before the season ends and with that will be thereabouts come finals time.

Ouch.
I noticed C De Visser on ROCS team list the other day, how on earth did he end up all the way over there, I wonder...

PNU over Uni by 10 goals.
Davis and Wilson kicked 12 being by far the difference

Serious upset at Unley. Would have given you $15ish on the Jets going in

Well, you were right about Unley claiming a big scalp .... they don't come much bigger than the reigning premiers.Lightning McQueen wrote:Good to see some normality taking place in the top division again with 4/5 home teams winning, before round 6 only 44% of home teams have won.
Add to that, in rounds 3 and 6, three teams defeated opponents above them on the ladder, it happened twice in round 5.
The numbers spell out a great comp considering Uni and UMJ only have a win between them, both have been extremely competitive at times and I can see them getting a big scalp or two along the way.

I was bold initially and wrote Goodwood but didn't have the kahuna's so I adjusted the comment.Senor Moto Gadili wrote:Well, you were right about Unley claiming a big scalp .... they don't come much bigger than the reigning premiers.Lightning McQueen wrote:Good to see some normality taking place in the top division again with 4/5 home teams winning, before round 6 only 44% of home teams have won.

Goodwood 10.4 d TTG 9.6 Gullies were 2 goals up at 3/4 time, but Goodwood ran out game a little stronger, kicking 3 goals to none, to sneak home.
