"And the Eagles were the hands down best recruiters in the off-season"

Guess we had to be given the player loss from the GF side

Umm, Durdin, Pink, Hosie, Turner, Landt?

0hhhh, Newman?
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

How good has he been?
Hands down the second best recruiters in the off season, the ladder reflects this ;)

It's funny isn't it. This is a subjective thing, but based on names and resumes, back in the pre-season, I'd say the Eagles.

Looking at the output of the Bays recruits, it has been some of the lesser known recruits that have help propel the Bays to the top.

I guess I should have corrected my comment by suggesting the Eagles picked up more 'name' players than the Bays.

At this point, the Tigers are on top, on more than one level. Newman, Brandt and Turner, in particular, have been fantastic.

SANFL Match Mask Update

You’re still required to wear masks while moving around the ground, but if standing or seated in your viewing position you can remove it.

They're required indoors.

Other restrictions, including QR Check in and social distancing remain.

Bays secure top spot in the 18s, I think we’re going OK ATM as a club

Minor Premierships don’t secure flags though.

Still trying to see the sense in having this split round. We’ve had GF’s on the same weekend as the AFL in the past so the clash problem doesn’t stack up. The SANFL are just giving more chance for Covid to interfere with the season by extending it longer than it needs to. The opposite strategy to the AFL.

Well done on that.
I am just happy to win a match, particularly in the following circumstances:
Two weeks ago, lost to South by 104 points; on Saturday, we beat them by a point.
Great turnaround, boys!
A Bulldog in winter; a WTDCC Eagle and OICC Wolf in Summer!

The final round will be interesting. PA still in the AFL finals. They should have a full squad but the Crows may struggle to field a competitive side. Mad Monday , exit reviews and all. If the Power win, PA may ask the SANFL to change the comp to a final 7. :D

We can but hope that the RA AFL side goes out in straight sets...before our finals start.

Two games on this arvo. Each promises to be worth watching. No free-to-air coverage.

Remind me, how much is the SANFL paying seven to not cover the league?

I was testing to see if you could retract the like by clicking it again (without bothering to find a previous liked page by me), and you can't.

Anyway, is there only 17 minor round games telecast this year? I seem to recall upon inspection that is so.

Port reserves v Glenelg @ Alberton next week confirmed 2:10pm Saturday.
I’m tipping it will be Port’s biggest crowd of the year ;)

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere @spell_check, but when was the last time a side went the entire minor round without defeat?

Looking forward to it, no chance we spoil the undefeated party but looking forward too it nonetheless.
