Shame she’s just renting in Liverpool
Would have been a nice touch for her to have to live there for a long time

Re: Abbott/Liberal Govt Watch
A great night for Australia but the rednecks won't be happy, I'm inspired to get back in the public service!
Not a good day for Sturt supporters though.

Whilst the independents have done well, UAP and One Nation have not won a seat in the lower house.
The senate should be an interesting mix.

Re: Abbott/Liberal Govt Watch
Latest report since Guru Green called the seat last night is that 8000 votes were counted with her getting 5447 which is astonishing.
Two party preferred now 48/52 from 46/54. Will be tight.

Looks as though ALP + GRN + Pocock will be 39 (i.e. a majority). Then 2 Lambies. So not a bad result upstairs for the incoming government.

Re: Abbott/Liberal Govt Watch
Yes. I have no idea (shut up) about where those 8000 votes were from but to get 68% first preference votes from them is remarkable. Perhaps they were simply from her "best booths".
Closer to home. looks like Boothby will go to Labor and possibly with a comfortable margin with labor preferences currently at 70%. Pre polls and postals
though may tighten the result.
Sturt which looked like it may be the closest seat in the country is also swinging to Labor. Sitting member James Stevens leads by 63 votes but Labor is getting 72% of the preferences. Pre polls and postals though should make this very close.

Lambie has set herself up nicely and will more than likely have to be consulted on everything to pass

Seems to be a hell of a lot of liberal signage out still on the stobie poles. When is the deadline to remove? Dont see much Labor anymore if at all.

Supposed to eb gone by the Sunday night IIRC.
It's a reflection of the decline of the two party system. members hip of both parties is declining. hard to get volunteers and also the pool of talent to pre-select is becoming thinner.
I think I threw out my final Sue Jeanes corflutes when my old man died and we cleared out his shed.
interesting as a Liberal her Corflutes had a green border.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
