True but his strike rate was as good as any in that era so I reckon he could go another gear for T20. Plus he could bowl some spin as well.

His loopy pus would get hit out of the park in today's game.
I know he saved the day with a couple of magnificent knocks but I found him somewhat selfish at times, he liked the red ink, we only remember the times it paid off.
Tend to agree with LM. Bevan was a 50-over match player. Exactly the bloke you'd want to come in at 4/100 when you're chasing 250 with a reasonable number of overs left. But I can't see him being effective at all in the middle order in T20s.
