A more committed showing this week by the Eagles who were valiant but got over-run in the last quarter. Pleasing showing from youngsters Buck, Williams, D B-R, Beecken, Litster and Mawson who has nice disposal skills. Missed the experience of Knight, Toumpas, Lehmann and Mitch Hardie is proving to be a very hard gap to fill. Ballenden was good in conditions that didn't necessarily suit him.

Sounds like the effort they put in against the Crows Reserves. Woodville Oval is a big problem IMO. A large mudpit.

The state of the oval is not a good look for a SANFL club and it works against the young squad that we have. Not privy to 'inside issues', but WWT / City of Charles Sturt/SA Govt/Mali/Albo need a plan to address this matter as a priority.

Mind you umpiring was a wee bit strange . Let’s just say port player gets the ball in the back line gets tackled keeps running for 20 metres not bouncing the ball umpire calls play on . Ball goes to port forward line eagles player grabs the ball port player puts a hand on the eagles player whistle blows holding the ball . Now before anyone says anything the umpiring decision was rubbish didn’t totally mean it made the eagles lose didn’t help though .

Does anyone know if the UK Fan has two SANFL Premiership Medals and a Ken Farmer Medal legally hanging around his neck? The Menzel boys made a wise move coming to the Eagles. Good luck in your retirement Dan, and thanks for the exiting games.
