But we did keep Clem Hill and The Trav so far

I agree mally. I think this was our best World Cup win. 1987 was pretty good but I don't think any of the teams in that particular world cup were of the standard of this current Indian team. While they under performed last night there just isn't a weak link. A remarkable performance. It was so good to see us master Jadeja, just once. He has been our nemesis for years.mal wrote:This has to be close to Australia's greatest victory in World Cups
0-2 down, written off my many , including myself[ but half changed my mind when the Trav was available]
To beat this Indian team of superstars in their own backyard was a great win

The batting will improve especially if the decks are flatter
Unfortunately too many players are either close to or too old - or out of form
AU to recover and finish 6th with or without Matthew Wade
Indeed, my Indian cuz is devastated.Rik E Boy wrote:… It was so good to see us master Jadeja, just once. He has been our nemesis for years …

Surely you could see the tongue in cheek nature of that post. I should have put more emojis in.RB wrote:Lol how Whuffer cites not failing with the bat as a notch for a bloke who didn't bat.
If it was Carey he'd admonish him for not showing enough initiative with the bat.
He would have had to be standing up to the stumps to take that one.am Bays wrote:LOL I write very slowlywhufc wrote:
Its not skating or BMX......there is no style points. 5 catches / 0 byes / 0 dropped catches is as great a stat line as a keeper can obtain.
If you standing too far back so you cant take the half chances because they bounce in front of you, it's still a missed chance.

I had this same thought. I have never known him to have so little impact in any game against us.Rik E Boy wrote:I agree mally.
