Correct. Why do you think he is going to Div 6 ? Ask his father, let's not kid around here. A knee that keeps breaking down ain't gunna see him cut it in Div 3 as a dominant ruckman. That's life.
It's a good thing we don't use our knees in Div 6 then.
Coin may have came into it too Q plus the training required in Div 3. You know what I'm on about. Don't be another tossle.
I think you will find he is coming back to div 6 to play footy with some mates, he went back to Kilburn to win a flag with a few other boys from ML. We wished him luck and they got the job done, well done. Coin would have nothing to do with him coming back.
Really, training required? You do realise Div 6 clubs train during the week as well?? Probably the same amount as the superstars up in Div 3.

I'll agree with you there, def didnt set the world on fire last time round for ML. From what I've been told from oppsotion coaches and people who saw him play last year, he had a much better season. Has looked the goods on the track, if he can convert that into games I think he will be a very handy in.
Great hit out last night. I am excited by the high intensity and the skill level that was on display during the game last night was amazing. It was great to see huge numbers and the excitement around the boys for the up-coming season really positive stuff. I'd rather play more games whether it be internal or organised trials during pre-season than run laps, 100m & 200m sprints. It's also good to see blokes really pushing themselves when it comes to their fitness levels as a lot of blokes are ahead of where they want to be. Hopefully with they way the things are going, we should be a really fit side this year.

Numbers did look solid. Pace of the game was good for February. Cant complain with that sort of hit out this time of the year that's for sure
Its just a pity that the council looks after the cricket club more than the football club as we were still restricted to not being able to use the square.

Sitting second in A1 and playing the top side at home next week Give them a break!

I think they started cricket back on the oval in late Nov but they aren't letting anyone train on the square at the moment.
And Bomber, calm down. We all want the oval upgrades go well so we don't have a boggy mess come mid season.
I am calm mate. Just saying what a pity it is. Not saying that I am pissed about it. I also understand we are in for some work on the oval to help with the boggy mess. Was just outlining that having the square off limits makes it harder for old men like me to keep up with the switch of play.
Bombers4EVA wrote:It's roped off every year. I was just saying "Hypothetically" that it would've been better had we had the centre square to use.
Its not roped off every year. Due to the condition of the oval the last few years the sports club wanted to make sure the pitches didn't get ruined by the weather and traffic during footy season. Now with the council upgrading the irrigation and top dressing it over the next few months hopefully it means the oval is in better condition to cope with everything.
Lets move the discussion away from the state of our oval and onto the season ahead for Div 3.
I think Kilburn will go well this year, seem to have recruited a lot of guys. I thought that Flinders Park would have a few more ins than they currently do. Athelstone will be hurting from last season and will want to make up for losing the Prelim so should be right up there again. I don't think any team can be taken lightly this season.
