Out of curiosity why are you so interested in reports in the Adelaide Footy League? Seems to encompass most of your posting in this area of the site

Anyone else find it interesting that Callum Hay has now been selected in the AdFL rep squad?

Wow. I remember calling an ump an F$%#ing cheat and pointed at him and I just got a 50m penalty! 3 games is huge, was it a development/junior umpire?

My only suspension ever was my first game as B grade captain. Woody Sth club ump did everything in his power to cheat. We won with a goal after the siren. As I ran past him, said "cop that you cheating c**t".

My club advised me there was no point to show up to the tribunal. Automatic 1 match suspension.

Would have thought T Menzel would have been given a call up. Is there restrictions in getting picked in the squad?

The initial invitation list tends to look pretty different from the final squad.

There would have been conservatively 30-40 blokes who would have been invited, but uninterested for whatever reason.

Ha ha- we were playing in driving rain and he refused to pay holding the ball all day, even when you did the old 'stand and hold the guernsey while they hatch it'. Late in the last quarter I got ridden into the turf and had about 4 others stack on and he paid it. Pretty sure as I swore the grass/mud came out...

Think I was B Grade captain too at that stage. Leading from the front.

Nope, no restrictions but it's up to the players.

We've also found out that Stevie Milne is on the list for the Vic side too  Whether he plays or not is another question.

Or are some blokes just philosophically opposed to putting on a jumper "for the love of the game". Could we have dads in the future asking their children for money just to have a kick and a catch in the backyard.

That woody south b grade umpire was the biggest disgrace I’ve ever seen. He was so bad the other umpire had to cheat to even things up even a little bit. Glad I never had to play under the flog. Hope he reads this and realised he’s a massive flog. Hope he chokes on some kabana.
