Yes, the club was a basket case in the years leading to his arrival. His appointment should be credited to the footy director Bill Collins who worked hard laying the ground work for him to return along with Dave McAuliffe. Without Collins and McAuliffe, there wouldn't have been much to work with. They brought in the sponsorship dollars and drove interest/excitement, and Wayne topped it off with the recruiting. NEVER EVER has a member stabbed another member, and your comments I think are slanderous. You hide behind a pseudonym and fire off pot shots at a club and have no idea what you're talking about.

to a Premiership winner and broke a long drought. .

Yes, won a premiership with the club - in Division 7 after failing to remain in Division 6. Without wanting to talk down the flag though, that side could've coached itself, the standard of D7 was putrid, and honestly Ingle Farm were kissed by a fairy, with Smithfield suspended from the comp in the closing rounds. We take it though, and he will forever be a premiership coach and credit to him.

Turned around a club on the pathway to extinction. .

Played a role, no greater than Bill Collins, Dave McAuliffe or Max Bastain though. It was a combined effort that got the club back on track.

Admittedly old man Manuel has done a great job also in the last 2 years..

Manuel is now entering his 4th season as head coach.

I guess he will go on coaching and you can sit here under a secret identity slinging shit at people who do something and dare to challenge themselves.

Also i remember 2-3 years ago when Pooraka had a bye and all your club turned up off there chops on day 2 tgo watch us play and carried on like little kids on their first Bender, so don't throw stones mate, or i'll screen shot your post and show the Rigney's.
