Who would have thought Henley or Uni are looking at Div 3. Also Goodwood Saints just holding on to 8th. Strange season. Round 18 v North Haven could determine whether Henley stay in Div 2 or go down. Crazy season

I thought North Haven looked decent enough on the weekend.

Thomas bloody dangerous if the ball gets in quick or he gets it one on one.

A few whispers around that Henley sacked their coach yesterday, huge call as they try and stay in D2 with 3 to go!

I find the psychology of sacking a coach when you're in a tight relegation battle with 3 games to go fascinating.

Seems a dangerous gambit

When ur the 3rd pick in the line of applicants after the first 2 got offered roles in the SANFL it was never going to end well. In hindsight which is a wonderful thing they should have given Vinnie another year. You would expect them to beat Nth Haven round 18 and survive.

Maybe, havens matching it with quality sides atm, nearly a full side to pick from for the first time this year
My money would be on havens to win that, Henley half a sniff v raggies this week though which could save them

B Grade coach stepping up to do both grades so will be interesting. Henley did get over the line against Raggies last time with basically last kick of the day, that was controversially called a point when it went other side and out of bounds.

Henley presents a significant opportunity! The Raggies employ a possession-based game plan that enables teams like Henley and Havens to compete with them. The Raggies perform well when they quickly move the ball and play an offensive game. It's crucial to take risks and attack, as seen in their match against GG, where their slow possession style proved ineffective. While their top players are exceptional, the 12th to 21st player selections lack the necessary skills for their implemented game plan.

Henely by 10 points.

Not sure if anyone else has seen the Update today, but the Big Cheese must've had some time up his sleeve with his "what can happen in rd 18" segment.

Breakthrough Mental Health Division 2
Round 18
• SNFC (6th) play Golden Grove (1st) @ Harpers
• Henley (9th) play North Haven (10th) @ Presbyterian Park
• University (8th) play PHOS (3rd) @ Bob Neil #1
• Athelstone (4th) and ROCS (5th) having a go at 5th. Regardless of %, the winner goes in
o The 5th spot determined by result of SN v GG and %

WON LOST POINTS %
TEAM
Golden Grove: 15 2 30 68.31
Payneham NU: 12 5 24 55.52
PHOS Camden: 12 5 24 53.18
Athelstone: 10 7 20 52.94
Rostrevor OC: 10 7 20 51.57
Salisbury North: 9 8 18 51.82
Edwardstown: 6 11 12 44.29
Adelaide University: 4 13 8 44.61
Henley: 4 13 8 41.58
North Haven: 3 14 6 37.29

Just think, if Salisbury North didn't drop 3 matches, they'd probably be sitting 2nd and one of Athelstone or ROCS would be missing out!

Different grade but SPOC may go down over a management failure

I don’t think that’s correct. The other applicants moved to SANFL after they didn’t get the job.

I think you will find 1 of the applicants was offered a number of roles including the Henley job and chose to stay in the SANFL system.
