Only a tie if scores are level and all wickets down.

Yes that is correct.
It's a bizarre one in that you get rewarded more for being bowled out

Bradman medal tips?

Tim Evans for me. Good season and TTG won a lot of games.

Alex Keath and Josh Barrett to have quite a few 6 vote games too.

Probably a lengthy discussion on whether to go back to bonus points or not

It won't be finished yet.

Hopefully this month's is a long one as the club delegates should have pages and pages of questions that need to be asked.

Agree, expect it to be a long meeting.

I know our Delegate has been given several questions to ask on the Club's behalf!!

Alex Carey for mine. Think he will get lots of six vote games too, only need four of them, and get close to 30 votes should win it. Only thing that will cost him is missing the last two games due to playing for Redbacks!

Agree with your other tips. Haberfield will get lots of votes, might bring Evans unstuck.

Smokey is Simon Roberts from Sturt, leading the wickets and made handy runs also. Seems to be the type of players umpires give votes too, as Jake Brown has done the last couple of seasons.

I am told it was short
SACA and Uni don't know anything about the new playing fields...really?
And Uni are not getting juniors... even though two clubs at least have been told they are by SACA.

Boy oh boy. This is absolutely stunning.

Weren't the three clubs going to find out their fate by now too?

Hopefully the reaction to the "leak" has given reason to think again and this time apply some logic.

Reckon your on the money with Roberts... He will come home strong late... after Christmas scored 228 and took 23 wickets

Could find that early on Davis takes votes off him with the 3 centuries he scored...

Its going to be a great medal. Hopefully a nice close one like when Miller edged out Tim Davey a few years ago in the last round!!

I'd love to see Timmy Evans win one, thoroughly deserving of the accolade. Now taking the bias out of it, I think that Carey has had a great year without to much opposition from his own side. Tom Andrews from Woodville may sneak a lot of votes, fairly decent contributor throughout the year and Keath has had a great run, especially if he polls well in the games he made big runs but prospect lost. The sturt boys will trip each other up but will poll well imho

I believe SACA have finally revealed what they will offer for a merger. So the clubs have a week or so to confirm to SACA they will take on that merger - which would commence season 2017/18 - and they stand alone for final season 2016/17. If no merger forthcoming, one of WT/Wood/PA will be taken out of first grade for next season with decision to be made at this months SACA Board meeting.

Seriously doubt it.

The 10 clubs not named in the initial announcement have turned their focus to further strengthen their position through the Cricket Australia Premier Cricket Club accreditation. Every 6 months the clubs are assessed on criteria and must also submit monthly financial reports to SACA to be eligible to receive their funding.

Further to clubs picking the carcass of the 3 in the gun, There are also some nervous parents of juniors asking neighbouring clubs about trials for next season.....

SACA reckon there is no junior development in the future for Western Suburbs teams. At our trials this week for Ray Sutton teams, etc we were expecting about 20 kids, and had 58 turn up! So much for that theory! I am sure Uni will love to get their hands on all of them!!
