Will Edwardstown change the up/down situation back to normal?

Trying to work this out but if they went direct to Div 4 as the second relegated from div 3 it's possible. But it doesn't sound like they have shown interest in returning unless it's all hush hush.

Recently a news article announced that they were combining with the juniors once again. Seems the intention is that the juniors will remain in the Metro South comp though so that indicates that their seniors will head back to the Ammos.

Getting relegated had zero influence on their decision to move to SFL, that's misinformed jargon and unfortunately the people responsible for that decision are no longer involved with the club.

Promotion/Relegation for 2016

Div 1 – 2 relegated
Div 2 – 2 promoted to D1, 2 relegated to D3
Div 3 – 2 promoted to D2, 1 only relegated to D4
Div 4 – 2 promoted to D3, 1 only relegated to D5
Div 5 – 2 promoted to D4, 1 only relegated to D6
Div 6 – 2 promoted to D5, no sides relegated
Div 7 – Premier only promoted to D6

This gets D1-D5 back as 10 team comps, with Div6 a 9 team comp and Div 7 will be whatever it will be depending upon Salsibury West and North Pines being able to field 2 sides next year.

Would leave Div 7 with St Pauls as the only "A Grade side" along with Uni's C Grade.

If that ends up being the case i would have thought push up the top 8 sides from Div 8 being TTG, UMJ, PAOC, GG, Old Iggies, Modbury, PNU and SMOSH effectively making Div 7 the new Div 8.

God I'm over clubs telling the league "what we wanna do". Top 60 A Grade sides should be playing in the top 6 divisions.
