I’ll be in the SAFooty corporate tent tomorrow.. feel free to say hi
SAFooty tent is simply me standing under an umbrella as close to cold beers as possible.
Hopefully we can bat well 1st session and set the win up!

Re: SHEFFIELD SHIELD FINAL 2024/2025
This will be the highest successful run chase in a Shield final, should it be achieved. There have been 5 higher 4th innings scores, but all losses.
Highest successful is when Victoria scored 2/239 to defeat NSW in the 1990/91 final

Get through the new ball then cash in after lunch.
Swepson could be the danger if he bowls well.
I'm hoping the young blokes strings are as tight as Peter Duttons wallet. Geez he's got some wheels.

Re: SHEFFIELD SHIELD FINAL 2024/2025
Where did you read/hear that Bedge? I've tried to find where it says the final is 96 overs per day but can’t so I've just assumed it's 90 overs with the hours of play as three two hour sessions would imply it's 90 overs per day (your standard 15 overs an hour)? The Bedge wrote:96 overs

Re: SHEFFIELD SHIELD FINAL 2024/2025
At 7/436 with Jake And Mark batting- QLD were looking for a lead of 300+
Nathan McAndrew takes the last 3 wickets from that point all out 445 [ losing 3/9]
270 a gift on a road
TOMorrow
SA easily by 6 wickets
McSweeney most runs

Re: SHEFFIELD SHIELD FINAL 2024/2025
It is definitely 96 overs during the season. Someone posted on here on Day 1 when I whinged about slow over rates that it was only 90 for the Final. Not sure if this is true but as been mentioned not going to matter now.The Dark Knight wrote:Where did you read/hear that Bedge? Re: SHEFFIELD SHIELD FINAL 2024/2025
Was in multiple articles leading up to the match...

We'll touch on the five-day stuff (tomorrow) morning in our preview, but it's (minimum) 90 overs per day and not 96 (as per Shield playing conditions), so it's a little bit different.
