Re: Drugs, umps and other ammo's news
This has just been release by the league with regard to the fate of the Rosewater FC.
This document clearly shows that the Rumbelow hearing has not been determined and therefore anything regarding this incident is still off limits.
I would hope that out of respect that no one here uses this to take pot shots at the club and moreso perhaps discuss the implications for other clubs leading into finals.
Thanks
Lisa

That's huge, having said that, the accompanying rap sheet is a disgrace.

DId you not read what I read about not taking pot shots at the club.
You sure know how to kick a bloke when they're down. Perhaps a simple re-word would be called for.

Re: Drugs, umps and other ammo's news
Really feel for the players and everyone involved in the club affected by this.
The up side though is it seems Rosewater will remain in D5 for next year and not be stripped of points/relegated. They can now spend the next few weeks sorting through their list and looking at players for next season as well - no games they can go out and watch a few as well.

I'm assuming the remaining clubs they play get a 10 goal win? I wonder how this will affect the 5 with percentages.

Re: Drugs, umps and other ammo's news
In Jo172's defence, the rap sheet is quite damning on the club..
Disappointing the league hadn't sanctioned them earlier if they were such an issue? It doesn't make for great reading. Real flat for quite a few of my good mates out there who have been affected by the actions of a few and hope the club can re-group and push on in 2017..
Do they retain the points for the wins up until this weeks game? Lockleys will be relatively happy with the 10 goal win given the result of the first game.. Elizabeth and Pulteney wont affect ladder positions too much I don't think. Elizabeth had a massive day prepared this week didn't they im led to believe? They would be ropeable with it

Looking at the list of incidents I think they were on their last chance before something would be done about it. Just disappointing that 2 major ones occurred in the same match.
However, Rosewater now have been told what they need to get done to rectify the situation. If they can't then the league has no choice but to refuse affiliation for next season

i don't think anyone disagrees with this, however it's all in the wording.

Different league, so they're not affected

Just C9AFL. So Under 18s won't, but this won't affect SANFL Juniors.

Seriously feel for the blokes that do the right thing at Rosewater and they're quite a few. The old saying a few wreck it for everyone else.
Would player retention be an issue for next year in light of this? Its a massive outcome for Rosewater

So a suspension for the remainder of this season in all senior grades? Does this mean they are a chance to be relegated??

Heck. Big blow.
And, yes, it's our past players day and 60th anniversary at Elizabeth this weekend.

Quick look at the ladder would say no - they are too far ahead of 9th and 10th to drop below them.

Mathematically, we can still finish 5th and would then have to forfeit our first final....
