Ch9 AFL Division 8 - 2015
Well now that we're confirmed we might as well get this going.
The ticker of a few clubs notwithstanding this is shaping up to be a very very strong division and I would be surprised if any two individual clubs end up as dominant as PAOC and Golden Grove were last year.

Agree, looks to be a very strong division. Are the Hope Valley boys going around again in 8R?

I'd imagine modbury would have to be favourites coming down from div. 7 after making finals,
with PAC once again not far behind
with PAC once again not far behind

Hope so, otherwise there's nothing to talk about all year other than labeling the occasional umpire a cheat

I think you'll find TTG and Golden Grove will be around the mark again as well (both were far from disgraced by PAC).
Add to this PNU having an Under 18 Premiership side graduating to senior Footy, Unley being a strong C1 team, Old Ignatians being stiff to miss out last year, SMOSH coming down from Div 7 there's the potential for a very competitive grade

Last year's D grade coach is now coaching the C grade and a club stalwart is coaching the D grade. Our C/D grade will be totally different this year, so this thread will be pretty boring

No, we can concentrate on the evil empire now, someone said Burrows is playing - A grade captain to D grade in one foul swoop. Amongst many other premiership players.
I hope you've got a decent C grade.

Some would think that blokes in their late 30s/early 40s probably should be playing in a club's lowest level
Especially when there's a premiership team of Under 18s coming up who you'd prefer not get lost in D Grade Football.

I think Golden Grove are a "monty" for the flag......per the list above..... GG vs GG final.....

take out Klomp, RCP and Javor and the rest are early to mid 30's - and could easily play B grade even. Obviously this isn't in Maccas vision and we need to respect that.
BUT - if it's good enough for your old blokes to waller in the D grade, why isn't it good enough for Hope Valleys, or anyone elses for that matter?
You can mix old and young players in a C grade side you know

Being very generous to J Battams, S Slape, D Battams etc age wise there FC.
Most of the Hope Valley blokes were on the other side of 30 with some being on the younger side of 25

My mail is that the PNU C-Grade will be used to 'blood the youth' and prepare them for D1/D1R, and will be training to the same gameplans.

Training (or lack thereof) being one of the many operative words with regards to FC's mates

Couldn't comment on their ages, I didn't know most of them.
I just forgot about the others - none of the above would be 40 yet I wouldn't think except maybe J.Batts - but I get your point.

C-Grade Super League!! but with no Henley
This div does however look super impressive as now the participation rates can only go up for all these clubs!
Full credit to the league, this is a super move to divorce AGrades vs CGrades hopefully for good, as the long term gains will be nothing but exponential
C1 is also looking very tasty

Don't underestimate the Jets……plenty of talent coming out of the crew from Unley/Mercedes.
Very unlucky to lose in last years C1 Finals. Should have beat ROCS in the 1st Semi going down by a point and then once again, snatched Defeat from the Jaws of Victory in the Last Quarter of the 2nd Semi against Uni. A definite Finals contender and very tough at Kingswood Oval. Will definitely learn from the experience of 2014, they will be a fit, fast and talented side.
