I've been involved in GF's at Edwardstown, nice venue but parking can be a bummer, at PNU, again good spot but parking a bit hard, Alberton is a cracker but without doubt St Mary's Park is the best by a mile. Great atmosphere good tucker and parking around the ground gives it that country feel, but Edwardstown it is and you can't hear West Croydon and Woody Sth complaining.

Not trying to fuel the fire FC, its interesting that Edwardstown have been rewarded with a GF in their first year back after ditching us.. But I get the reasoning behind it. Except the police station location link. Are extra officers going to be sitting at the station awaiting a phone call if things go pear shaped? Doubtful.

All good luv, i did a long post further up the page (or previous page) as to the oval availability (or unavailability in most cases) so they had to work with what they had, so it's not necessarily rewarding the newcomer in this case.
All I know, is that if my club was in a grand final, I wouldnt care if I had to travel to bloody Victor Harbor to see it.

Traditionally it's been the third place side from D7, so I would say St Paul's would be in the box seat. This is how we went up in 2009. Henley squibbed it after making the GF against Paralowie so offered it to us as we got knocked out in the prelim.human_torpedo wrote:Off topic.. But with the potential merger on the cards between Pulteney and Glenunga, and PAOC being the other div 7 Grand Finalist (who I assumed would have had first dibs on filling the div 6 spare spot), and being a C grade unlikely to want to come up to div 6 (speculation on my part) but given past history of C grade sides struggling in div 6 I doubt they would want to. Mitchell Park would get first offer of staying up over a returning club surely? Have heard rumblings of AHOS potentially filling the spot if it became available, but that would be a massive slap in the face to Mitchell Park if that happened IMO..

then you offer runner up in div 7 first then choice then third place then fourth place then fifth place if they all say no then ask M.P then Luthies

Didn't WC get 5 red cards? That would have to put them under some sort of scrutiny

If WC win the flag to earn promotion and are kept down in D6 next season because the red cards, it would be the stupidest move the league has even made, and would just be another year of clubs copping floggings playing for consolation places.
