Yeah, Mildura has drawn the short straw, the regional cities have paid the penalty of too many dickheads in the metro area.daysofourlives wrote:
Ok maybe not Melbourne but lets start with Regional Victoria first. Places like Mildura have had 3 cases since the Plandemic began.
They are not even legally allowed to swim or canoe to the other side of the river, not to mention that initially regional cities near borders were allowed to cross.

We used to stay in a great place just out of town over the train line on the road to Mendindee Lakes called Mulberry Vales, don't know if it's still there but it was streets ahead of anything in town when I used to work there. Used to enjoy my time there but was mainly at the musos from memory.

I understand some posters are frustrated with various restrictions and abides
I do as well, then I see the plight of so many cities world wide , and refer back to line 1 of my post

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19)
Worked up there 30+ years ago for 2 months, lived in the Royal Exchange, 1 bloke & 20 female staff brilliant joint. Only ventured south a couple of times for um, I really don't remember. The Musos always ended a pub crawl (when almost all the pubs were open) was either that the 2 up or the Fight Train, never ended up in hospital so must have avoided the latter.Wedgie wrote:Sheik Yerbouti wrote:You obviously haven't spent time south of the slag heap!Wedgie wrote:Nothing wrong with The Hill, great joint, may meet Chips Rafferty & John Mellion in the front bar of Marios.Sheik Yerbouti wrote: Beauty, me & The Sleeping Giant have been planning a Broken Hill road trip next week in anticipation.![]()

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19)
Down to 682 active cases in the country, this is dropping over 10% every day, although it will never be under control until a vaccine is here, are we going to be back into a position where we can contain/control this in a few weeks time?

He was an absolute prick but delivered.
We tried to have a strike in protest at the creation of middle high schools and creation of Senior Secondary hubs.
Teachers got wind of it and as the rprearrange time after homeroom we were all supposed to got to the oval for "the strike" One of the Assistant Principals and the Head of PE cut us off at the pass and basically said "Get to your first lesson now!"
We went back to our first lesson....
My most favourite memory of him as my economics teacher was “nothing like a good war to get the economy moving. No unemployment!”
Not now. You would express your privileged / unchallengable democratic right to protest to <insert first name of teacher as you don’t know his last name> Just as you intend to do to your first boss when you tell him he’s got it all wrong.

Not when the Premiers can use it to artificially blow out their popularity polls.Dutchy wrote:Down to 682 active cases in the country, this is dropping over 10% every day, although it will never be under control until a vaccine is here, are we going to be back into a position where we can contain/control this in a few weeks time?

Yep, you can clearly see the States where their Premiers are using no logic at all and are just shutting off their borders for political brownie points with voters with elections looming. The bloke in the West is a prime example....

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19)
The only logic that applies to politicians, both State and Federal, is public opinion and votes and clearly there is a strong demand from the public to keep their borders closed. I find the criticism from the Federal government ironic. Morrison and Dutton won votes by creating mass hysteria around a perceived threat of people coming to Australia by boat. The Premiers are using the same play book with Covid and it's working in their favour. Take SA as an example .... the Marshal government has performed poorly in many areas, but are maintaining a higher approval rating because of how they manage Covid. Marshal knows if thete is an outbreak here, like there was in Victoria, he's dead. I find it all a bit sad, but it is what it is.LaughingKookaburra wrote:Yep, you can clearly see the States where their Premiers are using no logic at all and are just shutting off their borders for political brownie points with voters with elections looming.
