Makes sense .... Bowler not Bowlsman, Fielder not Fieldsman, Wicketkeeper not Wicketkeeperman and Batter.not Batsman. Should have moved to non gender specific terms centuries ago.

Re: What The F***
When I read about this yesterday I read that batter is actually the historical term in cricket, not batsman so really it's just a return to an original term.Senor Moto Gadili wrote:Makes sense .... Anyway I'm more concerned about keeping the game alive at all levels rather than a change in terminology.

As a straight bloke I’ve always been offended by the term “byes” & “leg byes” in cricket. This needs to be changed.
And as not to offend the ladies we’re going to have to find a new name for some of the equipment… the box, pads, helmet.
Don’t even get me started on the “popping crease”…

There's a funeral home using see through coffins for their services. Might be a good idea, might not, remains to be seen I guess.

Cemeteries are often in the dead centre of town too.
Politicians kissing babies for good luck,
TV preachers sell salvation for a buck.
You don't need no golden cross to tell you wrong from right,
The world's worst murderers were those who saw the light.
