Um... Are you meaning "71, is that all you are down to?", or "71 isn't much" or something else? I started at 73 at the start of the year, which I felt is too much for someone who is only 5'7", so in two months of trying to eat less crap, and eat less generally, as well as exercise more, I think 2 kgs in 2 months is reasonable... just hope I can continue the trend for another couple of months, and then I'll be happy with it.

man... i'm 5'5 and 88 Kgs... weight is all about the distribution. i'm very stocky so for me to get to 71 would look disgusting... i'd look my best at 75-80Kgs (and with something to cover my face...) so each to their own...

I weighed in at 91.5.

On Sunday morning I was 90 (the point where I planned to reassess my weight loss needs) but had a big brunch and dinner with friends *bam - add a bit more weight*

Done and dusted!

Weekly weigh-in this morning and I'm...

61.2kg.

Lost a little bit more than expected.

All up, I've lost 17kg since Christmas.

Now to maintain...

well i've hit 90Kg's after a week in Perth (92 actually, i'm back down to 90 now) so i've decided it's time to get active.

i've now joined up with the Nth Adel. Aquatic centre on a 3 month membership which set me back 150 clams.

my plan of attack is 6am start at the gym everyday, sounds difficult but i'm up that early anyway and i live about 5 min drive from the gym.

each day i have about 40 mins of workout time as i go to prayer in the mornings at 7am so i need to fit it into that time frame.

my program (well my plan for now)

Monday - Cardio
10mins Treadmill
10 mins Bike
10 mins cross trainer

Tuesday - Weights
arms and upper body

Wednesday - Swimming and spa/sauna

Thursday - Cardio
10mins Treadmill
10 mins Bike
10 mins cross trainer

Friday - Weights
Torso and Legs

Saturday - Swimming and spa/sauna

i will be keeping track of my progress like distance, weight, reps etc and hopefully i will be back down to 75-80 Kgs in no time and looking lean and mean.

it's gonna take some dedicated work but now it's out there i want YOU to hold me responsible!!!

also any ideas on good programs to work with? any PT's out there that care to lend me a hand?!?

I'm assuming you have your diet in check as well?

Because as with any weight loss plan diet is about 70% of importance and training only 30% (unless you have ridiculous metabolism)

yeah, currently (the usual) eating habit is;

Cereal (some kind of wheaties with sultanas and yoghurt covered raisins) and a coffee
some tuna and saladas as a snakc mid morning
a couple of sangas for lunch, usually sliced ham and/or chicken
piece of fruit in arvo and
dinner consists of many things.

main issue to reduce portion sizes especially at dinner...

The exercise planning looks impeccable

With the eateristics

yeah the white bread is a bit of a killer i reckon... wraps might be the go with a bit of veg...

i'll check out the cereal as this one is down to the last bowl now, pretty much just sultanas and raisins with a few bran flakes amongst it...

i''ve changed my tac a little though

instead of 10 on the cross trainer i'm doing 6-8 (cos it's killin me!!!) and spending more like 12-15 on the treadmill.

the other difficulty is the lap swimming as there are swim clubs there all the time so i'll have to see what days are available to do that.

at the moment i'm not worrying too much with weights cos i need to get my cardio up to a decent level, once i shed some Kegs then i'll work on tone and definition...

just picked up a new pair of ASICS yesterday and they are so much better than the rubbish i had before. good footwear makes so much difference!!!

i'm also still walkin the dog for 30-45 mins a day too which will continue.

Current weight of 89Kgs, want to be down to sub 80 in 6 months max! sooner would be better but i'm not gettin too far ahead of myself just yet!

NG you can buy 'wrap' meats from woolworths (Not deli section but cold meat/bacon section)
They have some that are x% fat free etc, etc.

You can also buy wholegrain wraps and you hardly even notice the difference from them and a normal white wrap.

The meats I'm talking about although slighly expensive ($4/$5 a packed) have a lot of flavour so you can fill your wraps with things like lettuce, cucumber etc and just put a few pieces of the meat in and still get a lot of flavour.

O:)
You get what you give....
