59% yes 40% no 1% invalid
77% returned
Giving yes 45% of the eligible voters and the conservatives a basis for saying it wasn't supported by a majority.

Yes 54%
No 42%
penis drawings 4%
79% returned.
I predict a closer result than most. Dont under estimate the older generation that just vote and do things without putting it all over social media.

Still counts. If drawn as a boner it's a yes, if on the limp then it counts for the negative.

Make it 3.9999%. I didn't even open the envelope containing my ballot form.

I'm interested mostly in the returned percentage.
I didn't end up voting (mostly because I forgot), but I wonder how many people would've chosen not to be part of the vote?
I think the 'Yes' vote will win and win comfortable - around the 4-1 mark is my guess (80%)

I'll change my guess to that then
79.5 is a fair return rate! Didn't think that would happen!
Interesting times now..

4 out of 5 eligible people voted. 79.5%, for mine that's remarkable considering it wasn't compulsory.

For comparison
55.5% of people voted in the 2016 US election, and 72.2% turned out for the brexit referendum

I'm more worried that social order will be completely destroyed, just like in all the other places across the globe that have done the same.
In fact, the gods have spoken where I am. The sky's already falling in, I can see water falling out of the clouds as I type.

Now, here is an interesting question
How should these two vote? Their electorates voted overwhelmingly NO. Do they represent Labor or their constituents?
SA figures are here:
In Manager of Opposition Business Tony Burke’s electorate of Watson, 69.6 per cent voted No and 30.4 per cent backed the Yes case.
In shadow treasurer Chris Bowen’s electorate of McMahon, 64.9 per cent voted No and 35.1 per cent Yes.
