Seaton Ramblers Football Club
It does not get much bigger than this Ram faithful...
The Seaton Ramblers Football Club are so very excited to announce the signing of Brodie Smith for the upcoming 2026 season.
In a massive announcement for our club, Smithers who has been a huge support for the Mighty Rams over the last 15 years, arrives to play with his great mates and help drive our playing group on the quest for the ultimate success.
A long term star over his 15 year playing career with the Adelaide Football Club, some of Smithers achievements include:
* Pick 14 for the Adelaide Football Club in the 2010 AFL National Draft
* 273 AFL Games and 74 Goals
* All Australian Selection 2014
* AFL All Star Representation 2020
During 2026, Brodie will also play some games out in the Far West Football League, joining good mate and Rambler Legend Callan Annett at the West Coast Hawks and help support the development of younger players in the Streaky Bay Region.
We could not be more thrilled that Smithers will be wearing the green and white next year and look forward to that trademark explosive run and booming right foot on Pedlar Park in 2026. On behalf of the entire Seaton Ramblers Community, we welcome Brodie, lovely wife Lisa, little Luca and also Gordo and Tracey and the extended Smith family who we are also very excited that they are joining the Rambler community.
Go Well Smithers!!
Go Rams!!
Bring on 2026!!!

Re: 2026 Adelaide Footy League - Division 3
They do know they only have 15 player points, yeah?
I just had a look, they've announced 6 signings, and were at 9/15 last year for player points
Bench filled with U18 kids could be the way to go!

Bortoletto, Murphy, Vellotti, Dalidowicz all 2 pointers that drop to 0 with the third season rule. Schoop drops to 2, and isn't in their best 21 anyway. My understanding is they do have a couple of juniors who will push for A grade footy next year as well, on genuine talent.wenchbarwer wrote:They do know they only have 15 player points, yeah?

They finished the year as just about the form side, they'd have very high expectations I'd reckon.

On top of the 14 points that hollywood mentioned, they also have Mcwhirter and Rachele. Did a quick look on PlayHQ and Mcwhirter had played a season before for Seaton, so would he be a 2 pointer or a 3, coming from the APFL this year. Play all 5 of these blokes and they'd need 2 under age kids in the teamAdelaideSaint73 wrote:Bortoletto, Murphy, Vellotti, Dalidowicz all 2 pointers that drop to 0 with the third season rule. Rachele only played 1 senior game at Old Iggies in 2024 so would he be any points?
Definitely have won the offseason in D3!!

Can only claim maximum 2 points with kids.wenchbarwer wrote:Bench filled with U18 kids could be the way to go!
If you played, left and returned, you'd be 3 points.. unless you'd played 20+ games, and then you'd be zero.wenchbarwer wrote:Did a quick look on PlayHQ and Mcwhirter had played a season before for Seaton, so would he be a 2 pointer or a 3, coming

Hearing Adelaide Uni are splashing the cash this year, not sure if they have released any recruits yet, however I understand a marquee signing is on the cards

They've announced Wilson-King and Di Sotto, but they don't splash cash, they're amateurs, like the private school clubsThe Hound wrote:Hearing Adelaide Uni are splashing the cash this year, not sure if they have released any recruits yet, however I understand a marquee signing is on the cards
