Too short a gap and it will lose it's appeal.

Lol Argentina. A Roosters 2022 GF-esque choke on the cards here.

It looked that way didn't it. Argentina absolutely dominated for 75 mins,, but ran out of petrol. In the end France could have pinched it, but I think the better team won.

Great win and always good when the Frogs lose. Capped off a brilliant tournament despite all the negative press thrown Qatar’s way

I have another question for the experts and Gazzaericbulldogmagoo. IF we didnt play Australian Rules and soccer was the main game- how much better could Australia be in the world game?

Probably a shit-ton because we wouldn't have been seduced by a better game, so we would have had to just play soccer,
like the beer ad,
it's summer, just drink it.

The Argentinian team couldn't be paraded in a bus through Buenos Aires as as estimated 4 million people pack the streets to greet them.

I heard an Argentinian commentator asked :
What's the biggest sport in Argentina?
Rugby.
What? Isn't football the biggest sport?
No, football is a religion, it isn't sport, you asked what sport is the biggest.

It's pretty close to the truth when you think about it. I've always considered Elizabeth Oval inc clubrooms as my 'church'.

I wouldnt know....i've never been inside a church before. Never been to a christening, never been to a church wedding, never been to a mass, funerals have always been at funeral parlours. Never stepped one foot inside a church.

Only won because of a free kick dead in front, not a very skillful way to decide a match. Soccerroots would be feeling a bit deflated methinks.

Their game plan for years was based on getting it to one player and that player pulls out 36 hours before the match. understandable performance.
