Worst excuse for missing a game

Had a player on the weekend miss a game because he was at a day spa with his girl friend getting a facial. Only a trial but this would be up there with the worst excuses ever. Probably wasnt going to say why he couldnt play but its a bit hard when his missus tags him on facebook. @pag im gone for 6 months and this is the sort of behaviour in the A grade?

When I first started playing seniors, possibly even in my first season, we had a player miss a game as his girlfriend's goldfish had died.
No social media in those days, he actually rang the coach to tell him.

Didn't mention it to anyone during the week, just that he's older and had a bi of soreness.

@beef must've been the hardening influence around the place. Aren't you one of those crap blokes going overseas during footy season?

Player last year said to the coach he couldn't play for a few weeks as he was going away for work. Coach tuned into foxsports to watch the Aussies take on the West Indies and saw the bloke getting blind on the hill as foxsports news took some close up footage of the carry on... Not the worst but a ripper

My parents were due to get married SANFL Grand Final Day 1973.
When the Bays made it, the old man postponed the wedding a week.

I think it's crap to get married in finals time, but ours was June for sentimental reasons on my part.
